Spiritualism

Spiritualism is often referred to as the thinking mans religion! It is a rational religion that is based on the proven knowledge that our Spirit’s survive Physical death.

Spiritualist Philosophy does not contain any commandments or religious dogma and you will never be preached at during a Spiritualist Service or meeting. You are more likely to hear discussion than deliverance! Man has always sought to know what happens when he “dies” and Spiritualism attempts to give a definitive answer to that question! Man’s Spirit lives on after physical death and enters the Spirit World which surrounds our Physical World. Under the right conditions, communication between the spirit world and our world can take place. This communication is generally only possible through individuals who have mediumistic abilities – extra sense that they have developed for that purpose. These people are known as mediums. Anyone can develop the ability to communicate with the spirit world just like anyone can develop an ear to music or the ability to play the piano – some people will only ever play Chop Sticks whilst others will home their craft until they can deliver Piano Concertos!

The Reading Spiritualist Associations principles are:

• Belief in the continuation of life after physical death and in communion with the spirits of the departed.
• Acceptance that individuals are personally responsible for their own actions and spiritual progression.
• Belief in and reverence for an almighty being regarded as creating or governing the universe.
• Belief that spirit energy can be used for healing purposes.
• Pastoral care through ministry to match the individuals needs even if this is not aligned with the ministers’ views or opinions.
• Confidentiality of information between associates and their clients.
